How it works – Mobile Location Verification
Our NFC Identification solution comprises of the NFC Tag and a NFC enabled phone
preloaded with our NFC application. The solution has the ability to record the location
of the user by enabling the user to scan the TAG.
The Tag as specific information programmed into it, this may be a location in a
building, an address, or even an asset of some sort or product.
Once the user has scanned the tag the information in the TAG is sent back to our
central server via the mobile network, which records the identification of the user
and the information in the tag with the corresponding time.
This solution has a variety of implementations. It allows organisations to Verrfiy
the location of employees at a certain location, e.g security guards patrolling
sites or buildings or contracted workers who need to prove their presence at specific
locations.
Example use cases
Our NFC identification solution is particularly suited to business scenarios where
the location of an employee needs to be verified.
Security Patrol
In the case where security patrols have to verify their location at specific times,
NFC Tags are programmed and placed at the places of importance. As the security
guards perform their patrol, they simply scan these Tags with their NFC Mobile phone.
Once they do this their current location is recorded on a central server which verifies
their location at that specific time.
Domicile Care
Domicile care providers have a responsibility to visit venerable people in need
of care. Care providers could log their visits by touching a tag at the location
of the person in need of care.
Contracted task based personnel
Personnel on contracted tasks such as cleaners, inspectors, contractors via agency
staff can verify their location for their employer or agency by touching tags placed
at key locations.
Complete end to end Solution
The solution comprises of a NFC enabled Mobile phone. The phone is installed with
our Java software customised for your requirements. We will also provide a set of
TAGs pre-programmed based upon your requirement, which contains information on a
Location, Asset or any other information which requires to be logged.
Application Deployment
The software on the handset is updated over the air ( OTA ) using our unique mobile
software provisioning system, so the user does not have to worry about having the
most up to date software on their NFC phone.
Cost effective and Easy to Use
To use the system the user has to merely touch their mobile against a Tag, which
is placed in a area of importance and then confirm the transaction. There is no
data entry or other complications involved.
Reporting and Analytics
The system allows managers to view all employee activity online via our reporting
mechanism. No additional systems are required. This information can be downloaded
into a variety of formats.
Systems Integration
The information generated by users of the systems can be integrated into existing
systems using a variety of technologies including XML over HTTP or using Web services.
We can send the information in the format required by the organisation.
