NFC eCare

Sero Solutions works with all the stakeholders responsible for a service users care, to provide holistic, connected care technologies to ensure that care is provided in the most optimum manner possible.

The NFC eCare solution allows a care worker to be managed effectively by a management team, and empower care workers to work collaboratively together. The solution enables a care provider to implement a personalised care plan for a service user and ensure that care is provided at the correct time and place.

The NFC eCare solution uses a technology called Near Field Communication (NFC). NFC enables electronic devices to communicate with each other by merely touching each other. The act of touching devices together to enable a care process makes it open and accessible to users with different capabilities.

How the system works

An electronic tag is placed at the residence of a service users home. The tag is associated with a service user and their location.

A care worker is issued with a NFC enabled mobile phone, pre loaded with the eCare software. Once the care worker arrives at the residence they simply touch the phone against the tag to register the fact that they have arrived at the service users home.
